Finance Department licensed Ph.D. program
In June 2016, Finance Department of NaUKMA was successfully licensed to perform educational activities on the third level of education and gained a right to hold a Ph.D. program in finance.
According to the law of Ukraine from 2016-2017 years the degree at the third level of education in Ukraine has to be accompanied not only by research but also educational activities. Therefore, all Ph.D. students have to take several required courses from the general and professional blocks. Also it will be possible to select some coursed from the proposed list to improve both interdisciplinary competences and skills that are specific for their field.
Due to these changes all Universities had to apply for the Ph.D. educational component license in 2016. Finance Department was successfully licensed and according to the MES order No.707 from 23 June, 2016 can prepare 7 Ph.D. annually in the field of “Management and Administration” in “Finance, banking, and insurance (072)” with selective specialization “Mathematical methods, models, and information technology in economics”.
